At Fen X Custom, we believe everyone deserves their own perfect soundscape.

Founded by a team of audio enthusiasts, engineers, and sleep advocates, we’re on a mission to revolutionize the way you experience silence and sound-one custom fit earplug at a time.

Our Story

It all started with a simple frustration: hearing loss, compounded over the years due to inadequate protection, ruined enjoyment of music and missed conversations.

One of the founders, Gary (2nd from the right), was exposed to repeated sound exposure during his helicopter days while in the Army. This period of his life has caused tinnitus that has left a scar in what is otherwise a fond period of his life.

Our Mission

The world is too loud. Hearing loss is projected to become one of the top ten causes of disease burden globally by 2030.

Losing your hearing can lead to great frustration and future medical problems from dementia to heart disease and depression. Prevention is possible. Our goal is to eliminate the barriers to owning the best in-ear products available to help reduce problems associated with hearing loss.

The founders worked together twenty years prior to starting Fen X Custom. We had all gone on to other companies, gaining the skills and knowledge that led us to this opportunity.

Why the Fennec Fox?

Besides having incredibly large ears, the tiny fennec fox is known for being playful, intelligent, and curious but with few defenses. They rely on their acute hearing for their survival.

We felt this perfectly encapsulates our company and the culture we hope to foster. We are bringing together the smartest people with a curious and playful approach to bring AI-driven, non-invasive, custom hearing products to you. It helps if they are cute too!

  • No more tossing and turning

    I work in the construction field and have used these on the jobsite many times. When you work with nail guns, saws and hammers, etc., it makes the jobsite comfortable to work on.

    The scan on my ears was fast, easy, and totally non-invasive – the custom plugs fit perfectly. I keep them handy in my purse, it’s so easy to just slip them in.
